Onward Flights from Benin

Do I need an onward ticket to enter Benin?

Requirements for Visa:

1. one (01) completed application form , the model of which is available on the IED and on its website;
2. proof of residence at the hotel or certificate of accommodation to be taken at the competent City Council;
3. proof of enrollment in a school or university for students;
4. one (01) identity photo in color on a white background;
5. photocopy of the residence card of the parent parent (for minors);
6. the discharge (for the communities who are obliged to do so).

Passports and other formalities

1. Special visa application form legibly completed, signed and dated by the applicant,
2. An identity photo,
3. Passport whose validity must cover at least the entire duration of the stay in Benin,
4. Photocopy of the return flight ticket or copy of a letter from the travel agency certifying the actual purchase of a return ticket,
5. For a stay of more than three months, obtaining on the spot in Benin, a card of stay is obligatory
6. Payment: variable depending on the length of stay, cash by money order or check made payable to the Consulate of Benin.
